If I booked with an hourly rate, when do I start / stop being charged?

You will start being charged once our Driver has parked and made contact with you. Charging stops once the last item is inside the destination property.

Are the drivers insured?

Yes, all our Drivers are insured with us.

Will I have to pay the T - Charge in London?

If you are travelling within the congestion charge zone on a weekday (Mon to Fri) between 07.00am and 18.00pm you will not be charged an additional £10.00 for the T- Charge if the drivers vehicle is aged 2005 or older.

Do quotes include congestion charge & toll charges?

No, currently our software has no way of recognising if you are moving within or through the congestion zone. Which means £11.50 will be added to your online quote. If you do not want to pay the congestion charge, consider booking on a weekend or after 18.00 PM on a weekday. The congestion charge is not applied on national holidays. You can pay the additional monies to your driver directly on the day of the move.

Can I book for less than two hours?

No, all online quotes are subject to a two hour minimum charge.

Do I have to pay for parking?

Yes, if the vehicle has to pay to park the fee will be added to your total.

Will I get a receipt on completion?

Yes, the man and van service provider will issue you with either a paper or electronic receipt on completion of your move.

What is the price break down?

The price breakdown shows all of the details that have been calculated to create your quote.

Can I make stops in-between the pickup and destination address?

Yes, simply click the’ add stop’ button in between the collection and delivery postcodes on the get a quote page

Can we travel in the van/truck with the driver?

Yes, you can travel in the van with the driver. If you order the driver + 1 man help loading, only 1 additional person can travel in the vehicle.

How soon should I book my van?

We advise customers to book sooner rather than later to secure availability.

Can I compare quotes without a confirmed date and time?

Yes you can, by simply putting the 2 addresses the system will estimate a price for you.

Can you provide more men if required on the day of my move?

If you require more man power on the day of your move please speak with the driver or call the office to find out if arrangements can be made.

Can we book a return journey?

Yes, you can either arrange the return journey with the driver directly or make a second booking on the website.

How do I get the best price?

The way to get the best price is to enter your details into our quote form and select ‘no help needed’ this will return the lowest quotes.

How should I prepare for move day?

The best way to prepare is to be as calm as possible and make sure that everything that needs to go is clearly marked or listed or boxes.

Will my items be respected during the loading and unloading process?

Yes, respect is very important to us, not only will our Men respect your items but they will respect you. All vehicles carry trollies, straps and blankets to ensure that your items are safe and secure during transport.

Will I need to be present on the day?

You do not have to personally be present on the day of your move however our Men will need a friend or family member who is over the age of 18 to let them into the pickup and delivery addresses.

Do all of your vans come with a driver?

Yes, all of our vans come with at least a driver.

Can I cancel my booking?

Yes, you can cancel at any time. If you cancel with more than 7 working days before your booking is due to start you will get a full and immediate refund. If you cancel within 7 working days please view our cancellation policy to see how your refund will be affected.

Can I request a home viewing before quote?

Whilst home surveys are not standard procedure, Our Men are able to arrange a survey with you subject to their availability.

Will I be charged for a home viewing prior?

No, there is no charge for a viewing prior to the moving date.

Do you supply boxes?

Yes, you can request the number of boxes you require in the brief description box on the My Move page. The office will then contact you to confirm your order.

Do you dismantle and re-assemble items?

Yes, our Men come equipped to dismantle and re-assemble items. If this service is required please add the name of the items to be dismantled in the brief description box which can be found under the vehicle images on the My Move page.

Does my promo code give me a discount every time?

No, unfortunately not all service providers opt into offering customers the promo discount because their prices are already heavily discounted. The reasons for this are the service providers have no advertising or administrative costs to win your booking and therefore they can offer you a reduced price every time.
